Cultivating community.
I love connecting with neighbors and playing with our built environment. I’m fascinated by how cities work. My devotion to community building is unwavering, as is my desire to elevate every human’s existence.
Organizations I’m Involved With
Schnitzelburg Area Community Council (SACC)
I joined SACC shortly after buying my house in 2010. While on the board I have chaired the membership committee, designed and managed the website and digital presence, and organized events such as the World Championship Dainty Contest, Movie Night at Dairy Del, and the #1 Citizen Dinner. In 2020, I was unanimously elected to serve as SACC President, ushering in a new generation of Schnitzelburgers to uphold our cherished past and design our vibrant future.
Three Points
Three Points started as a single mural in 2014 and quickly snowballed into an organization that has created multiple murals, developed streetscape and landscape improvements, and calmed traffic.
Three Points represents the three neighborhoods that intersect at Logan and Goss Streets: Schnitzelburg, Shelby Park, and German-Paristown. Three Points is an effort to make our collective neighborhoods as strong as they can be through pride in our past, present, and future. Amazing things can be accomplished when we work together to make Louisville a more colorful and culturally impactful city.
Center for Neighborhoods (CFN)
After graduating the Neighborhood Institute and the Green Institute, I was asked to join the board of directors for the Center for Neighborhoods. I serve on the programs committee, championing our Better Block and P.A.I.N.T. programs. Center for Neighborhoods is vital in creating safe, equitable, and sustainable communities in Jefferson County and I am very proud of our work.
