what is District 15?
Louisville’s Metro Council District 15 is a long, skinny district that stretches from St. Michael’s Cemetary in Germantown all the way to Iroquois Park in South Louisville. It includes notable places like Churchill Downs, the University of Louisville, and Iroquois Amphitheater.
There are 15 neighborhoods* that makeup District 15 (how convenient!). The entirety of some neighborhoods is in D15, while others are shared with adjoining districts, such as 6, 21, and 3.
Note: “Fairgrounds” is an industrial area without any residents.
